Our Services

What is a Federal Tax ID Number or EIN?
An EIN is similar to a Social Security Number (SSN) in that it is used by the IRS to identify businesses for tax related purposes. An EIN is a unique 9-digit number that never expires. As a business owner you will likely require an EIN to open a business bank account, apply for business licenses, file your taxes and hire employees. Regardless of what type of business you have, it is always a good idea to get an EIN. Once an EIN has been assigned to a business it belongs to the registered business indefinitely.

Is a Federal Tax ID Number and EIN the same thing?
Yes, a Federal Tax ID Number (Tax ID) and Employer Identification Number (EIN) is the same thing. Other common names for a Tax ID / EIN include:
  • Employer ID
  • Taxpayer ID
  • TIN and FEIN

What are the most common reasons people get an EIN?

Why do you charge a service fee?
When obtaining a new EIN we understand using our value added service is one of several options you have. Alternatively, you may prefer to go through the IRS directly to obtain your EIN on your own, at no charge, however, for many of our customers the process is not that simple. For example, the IRS will assign the EIN manually anytime one cannot be assigned online. In such instances, your EIN application may need to be accompanied with additional documentation and faxed into the IRS to avoid long delays. Our trained representatives are well-versed with obtaining EIN’s online and manually and they know which documentation must be accompanied with your application depending on your entity type and specific situation. Furthermore, our representatives understand EIN errors and how to resolve them. When using our service we assume all correspondence and communications with the IRS on your behalf - albeit phone and fax. We can completely eliminate the need for you to spend hours waiting on hold on the phone or faxing forms back and forth.

Similarly you can file your own taxes, but a popular alternative is to pay a fee and have someone else file your taxes on your behalf. Not only does this help to ensure a timely and accurate filing, but it’s convenient. This is exactly what we can do for you when it comes to applying for and obtaining a new EIN.

How can I check the status of my order?
